Hands / Richard Wehrenberg, Jr.

Hands is a deconstructive meditation on the ways in which work and capital flows shape and manufacture the remarkable concomitance that is being-with one another in a world, state, economic system, relationship, car, body, cornfield, mental state, river, room, et seq. With erudite wit and heart-filled sincerity, these poems manifest the necessary space with which to look at ostensible normativity and bring to focus what is hidden and repressed—to begin to end old paradigm cultural narratives: “a collective understanding of the world of ineffable individuality ensnared / in complex conceptions of how i am you are we is what we desire.”
